Meet Janet
I am a Cycle Education Specialist providing expert services in qualification assessments, technical advice, coaching and lead auditing, with a strong focus on raising standards and promoting best practice.
As a dedicated cycling advocate and passionate rider, I bring both professional expertise and personal enthusiasm to everything I do, from supporting safe, effective cycle education to sharing the joy of bikepacking, touring and mountain biking.
My Path To Riding
My parents introduced me to wheeled things very early in life, and I was hooked. I rode throughout my school years, as a Podiatry student, on cycling holidays, and during my daily commute to work. I even went on bike dates with my now-husband. Bike dates and holidays are still our favorites; the longer, the better.
My promise to you
As one of New Zealand’s Leading Cycling Education Specialists, it is my goal to share my knowledge and passion of cycling with teachers, schools, instructors, and individuals. Let’s go bike together
Sharing My Passion
As a stay-at-home Mum of two children, I became very active in my local bike club. I helped to set up a women’s cycling group and discovered how much I loved to share my passion with other women. This gave me the inspiration to become a cycling coach and educator.
Why I Still Love It
I love being outdoors, and on my bike, breathing in the fresh air. It brings me peace and centres me, giving me confidence to cope with everyday life and what it brings. For me, it’s like plugging into a rechargeable battery, bringing the feeling of being totally alive and really seeing everything around me.
